27 days til Christmas?

No one ever pretended that shopping for anything is a rational experience. If it were, would there be Fluffernutter? Laceless sneakers? Porkpie hats? Would the Chia Pet even exist?

Sometimes you just realized how close Christmas is and you have not even started the shopping.

I know it isn't even funny, but I have not started yet.
Maybe if we just sit here under the tree, we can think about the what to do list before the holidays arrive.
If you need some time out you can come here and relax under our lovely Paradise Tree, but shhhhh it is a secret spot.

Kiddie Camp at the Melatonin House

This year we decided to have a Kiddie Camp at the Melatonin House. It is still a work in progress, but it is coming along. Bring your little ones to play here and receive some gifts from December 1-25 ( those will be set up soon). In the meantime just come and check it out.

Our cat Melatonin is already there to welcome you. Enjoy your stay.

Little Mel had the flu, but he is finally over it now and ready to play and be petted :)

PipSqueak

Raising children is an incredibly hard and risky business in which no cumulative wisdom is gained: each generation repeats the mistakes the previous one made.

Our cute little niece PipSqueak was over for a visit.

Thanksgiving never tastes so good !

Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.

We had a little early Thanksgiving dinner today. So much yummy food. One thing to be thankful for is in Second Life you can eat all of this food and never gain a "prim", but it sure looks so good. We should invite some people to come over and enjoy this feast. If you are in the area of our lovely retreat in Monty, stop by and eat, there is plenty of food.

I am forever grateful to have Micheal here with me to explore and do all the craziness that you can experience in SL. He is the best in so many ways. Thank you Micheal....smooches to you :)

Oh by the way, the lovely dinner table and food you can get for free if you are a premium member.

Winter is Coming to SL

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”

It is so lovely to see Winter evolve in Second Life. You feel the cool crisp snow, the warmth of the fireplace, the smell of the pine trees.

You can visit this beautiful sim called Small Town Green, dress warm and comfy because all the green is covered with snow. We will have to visit often during the Winter season and get inspired.
Sometimes it isn't just avatars that are dressed in warm clothing, there are also furry friends who get into the action.
We had Little Pony Piper visit us at Club Melatonin. She is sooo cute and I would love to keep her, but Micheal reminded me we already have 5 cats to feed.

The Frog Prince

“Happily ever after doesn't begin with Once upon a time: it begins with Now.”

Nothing more I want then for the frog to be a true prince.
In the land of imagination where everything is surreal you can find this frog prince and he will sing to you a lullaby. Well maybe not, but close enough. This place was a beautiful sim, so peaceful. A must see for sure.
I waited patiently for that prince to arrive.

And when you wait and believe he will show up, let's say he TPed over :)

Moving Islands

"Moving Islands, Rafts is a collective project initiated by Eupalinos Ugajin. Come see the Cosmogony of Rafts and other improbably floating beings in this intricate and dynamic exhibit."

One of those places to visit when you are bored and want to try out some new exhibit. I enjoyed the calm music selection that was just perfect for floating around on various rafts.

On the Roof

We decided to sit on the roof and chat about our day. " What's new? What did you do all say?" "Well, I am sitting on the roof of our house and wonder about what you did."
It seems we always think about each other no matter how far away...I think everybody should try to have at least once in their lifetime a chat on the roof. Bring some hot chocolate and cookies and maybe a blanket and enjoy.

Machinima Open Studio Project

“Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it.”

We can meet in the park at midnight and it still feels like the first time. We kiss and chat for hours. I am so lucky to call Micheal my best friend who listens and vise versa. We all need friends to lift us when we are down, to make us laugh when we cry, to just be there when we need company.

You can find this lovely bridge in the park at the Machinima Open Studio Project. You can also find other cool spots to take photographs or make your new film here.
