Go Navy!!!

Sailing in Second Life is one of the most popular things to do. It is very realistic down to the waves and the wind. I find solitude and peace many times when I go out sailing.

Of course it is always fun to take someone along the way and show them the places you have seen. You can go for hours and hours and explore. I do come back to this one spot in the Blake Sea which is called Sirens Isle. It is truly a special place to visit and sponsored by Linden Labs itself. You will always run into somebody, even mermaids on occasions.

Yes, I do have a purple boat with pink interior. It keeps the pirates away, LOL!

When the horse is dead, get off and other findings!

"I don't need therapy, I just need to go sailing!"

Life isn't about finding yourself, but rather creating yourself. So when things are not ok, look how you can create a new path.

I know it sounds simple but it is not always easy, because creation takes time and work.Relationships are many times like a shipwreck, you have to make sure you bring a lifeboat with you.

So, I am back at the first step of creating me. I find in Second Life sailing the Blake Sea is a calming and relaxing way to gather one's thoughts. I love doing it.

There are so many things I find, which I would never see if I did not go out there and explore.

I know I can do this and I will. So if you see me in the deep blue sea, don't forget to say Ahoy!!!

Crows Nest, Blake Sea

If you have ever sailed in the Blake Sea I am sure you have passed by the Crows Nest. It is located right in the middle of the Blake Sea and actually is a great landmark to help you guide yourself in the open sea.

I love just sitting up there and see the boats sail by. Or even planes, helicopters and oh my I also saw a flying man. It is very calming the sea, but sometimes Crow's Nest gets busy too. I just happen to pick a great day so relax here.

I hope you go and check it out on your next sailing adventure or just teleport here and relax.

Boat Obsession gone Bad!

I truly believe that Zeek was bitten by some bug and he is now obsessed with boats...mostly sailing.

So we live out at Second Norway which is a beautiful area for sailing and with the biggest airport in Second Life, you could say you have it all.

Zeek was testing out a  speed boat at Dutch Harbor when he foolishly went out of control and yes...he ran into the dock over some very expensive boats.

All he says, let's get out of here babe. We run and flee back into the boat he just bought and think we have a great drive back home to Second Norway. However, some things change and all of a sudden we are being chased by a jet with weapons.

I told him, it is because of the damage left behind, they are after you now. This jet kept following us in the Blake Sea and all the way home.

Sea of Fables to Ice Bay

At the Sea of Fables start at the docks on the Poseidon Island, where you can rez your boat and set sail for adventure on the Sea of Fables. On your journey, you'll encounter small towns, ancient ruins and lots of underwater scenery.

It is a really nice place to sail, quiet and peaceful and less crowded than the Blake Sea.

I will go back here and explore a little more and do some diving here.

Second Norway

Second Norway is a lovely place. You will find so much to do here besides boating. There is a railroad, shops, beautiful homes. The people are friendly here and always willing to help. Why not take a trip out here...at the end of Blake Sea in the far east.

You will find no Drama here which is a beautiful thing in SL.

"Jungfrau" travels through Second Life

The name "Jungfrau" is actually the boat I named and I love sailing through Second Life. Whenever I have the opportunity to rezz the boat I will. So I came upon Nordan om Jordan and I could not resist to rezz the boat here. It is a beautiful sim you can visit and a perfect place for picture taking, not a sailing place.

If my tears fall in the ocean would they be found?

Daydreams

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is like a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.
The Chapel is still beautiful and it calms my spirit.

I went to a sim called Colder Water and sailed around the island. The water seemed warm, the air soft., my boat empty.

My heart feels torn and restless. I find comfort in the smallest creatures.

Europa Point

Today I went sailing once more and decided yo head North starting at the Crows Nest and I eventually ended up in the Dire Strait.
Europa Point has some interesting and haunting features. It is very quiet here.

A lonely fisherman doing some night fishing here. Not sure if he caught anything. I was only watching him from a distance, because I did not want to disturb his fishing.

Something must have been up, because I saw two police officers with a canine watching carefully over the sea.

In fact two UFOs appeared on the sky and I believe they were checking on me.

I will complete the rest of my journey tomorrow.

From Hollywood Airport to the SS Galaxy

The fun thing in SL Sailing is that you can go pretty far. Today I tried to sail from the Hollywood Airport

(Hollywood Airport (SLHA) is a popular public airport in Second Life. Located strategically on the edge of the Blake Sea, the airport buzzes with activity. It is a wonderful place to just hang out and watch the planes come and go. More than ten commercial airlines operate flights out of SLHA. Scores of flights (sometimes more than 100) using all manner of aircraft take place to and from SLHA on a daily basis. Come fly to the airport and walk next door or take the monorail to enjoy the excitement of Hollywood sim)

to the super large Ship called SS Galaxy

(This enormous, full-featured cruise ship spans three sims and offers an array of activities, including shopping, dancing, and music. Just like a real life cruise, you can also rent the staterooms and suites.)

A sailboat named "Anjelikka"

There is an old tradition to name a ship after a woman. What an honor to have a sailboat named after me.

"Life's roughest storms prove the strength of our anchors."

Our voyage has just begun, yet in one month I have done more than I have in three years. You learn so much when you are out in the open waters. I hope we get to share this sweet ride with some of our friends.

If you like to come with us for a ride, just IM us inworld....we love to show you the open sea.
