Uncertain Destiny

 

There are not too many things we can be certain of, most are uncertain destinies with plans that may fail or lead to nowhere. One thing that is certain is that Second Life is here to stay with the ever-so-demanding need for virtual technology. 

At the beginning of the internet, all of the possibilities were uncertain but it never stopped the thrive to explore and to create more. Our hunger to learn and to feed our curiosity about it grows stronger all the time. As you hear the terms Virtual Reality and Metaverse, keep in mind that Second Life was there when the future of this was still uncertain.

Since Second Life was never a game, you can of course play games within its platform. Everything here is created by its users and there is no limit on what you can create. This is the perfect place for education, social interactions, and worldwide artists.

I do not see that people would want to have some 3D eyewear on their faces to explore the Metaverse, but I do see the world using an avatar to represent themselves and create uncertain destinies. Second Life already has done this and is way ahead of the future. I am so thrilled that I discovered it way back and now am part of the community and with it have learned to create. It is not going away, it will only increase and that is certain :)

Looking for a place?

 I recently converted some parts of the Retreat into rentals and they are very cheap but do not lack any quality. Someone told me these are "high-class" and unexpected for the Mainland in Second Life.

When you live here at the Retreat, you are part of the family and my family only gets the best. Besides that, we can live high-class on the Mainland as well. No need to rent a place that will cost you thousands. The Rentals here start as 250L per week and you have enough room to add your home. I can even landscape the area or put up a home for you.

The Retreat is open to all people, so you are welcome to roam around and enjoy the entire place. Check out the Gallery or party with us at the Basement Club.

The Rentals are behind the Gallery, so go through the gate and you are there. I have a little privacy for the tenants, so they can be enjoying their Second Life "Life" with us.

Special Celebrations

Better late than never as I post this celebration from the Basement Club. I am so behind, ugh. Anyway, we celebrated DJ Dandy's Rezz Day and also DJ Dulce's first year of being a DJ. Both are great assets here at the Basement Club. Their special day was celebrated on January 28th, 2022.

These two are great team players and being a good team player can benefit the workplace as it fosters creativity, communication, and amicable relationships. It may sound cliché, but teamwork really does make the dream work. It produces greater results as employees contribute individual ideas, solve problems together and work efficiently and productively to get things done. If you can work comfortably and confidently within a team as well as create unity in the workplace, chances are your boss will love you. Thank you for being part of the Basement Club.
