I am grateful that Second Life exist still after 20 years because it has brought me many hours of contentment and joy.
During the pandemic, it was there and we all could still meet without the fear of getting sick. Now as the real world goes a little crazy we can still come here and feel "normal". I have been here almost 12 years now and have experienced many things. I still come back every day to get a dosage of peace that keeps me going.
My health was failing me big time almost overnight and I have been given a second chance to explore this world once more. I recently retired from the one job I knew best, but I cannot sit here and feel sadness. Life must go on and I have things to learn here in Second Life.
I might not write as much in my blog as I did before at least for now until I fully recover, but I will keep you updated. I feel privileged in many ways because I can still breathe. I am not known to many people in Second Life, in fact, I am pretty much unknown when it comes to famous DJs, creators, artists, and bloggers. I am just me "Anjelikka".
I was so very pleased to have been selected to represent a resident here in Second Life that was featured in Draxtor Depres' documentary "Made in Second Life: The Movie". Thank you so much for giving me that opportunity to show some of my art and why I do it.
Why do I collect postcards as well? That is a European thing, it also connects me to the real world receiving postcards and sending postcards, and guess where I found the link to postcrossing? Yes, in Second Life. And oh Draxtor there is a name for those who collect postcards, they are called Deliologists.
Second Life is educational and connects people from around the globe and no matter what you are addicted to or collect, you can find it here.
Go check out the recent movie and leave a comment there. Let's tell Draxtor that collecting postcards is not WEIRD.
