Emotional First Aid

In the wee hours of the night, I can sit here and ponder about what really matters. I have come to an understanding that taking care of my emotional state is number one before any decisions can be made. I think we pay too much attention to our physical look than our minds. Even here in Second Life, we spend many hours creating our avatar to make it look perfect.

Think about it. In real life, we just stay sad or depressed because we know it will just pass, but if we have a cut on our arm or leg we cover that up with a bandaid. Why do we not care about how our emotions also need a bandaid. Do not let loneliness create a giant wound in your mind by manipulating yourself with your thoughts. Think about loneliness as the worst cancer you could ever develop. It will feast on your mind and create doubts and worry and so many more emotions. Soon you will feel like a failure. Do not let your mind trick you into failure, because you are never ever a failure. 

Do not believe that rubbish your mind tries to convince you that you are not good enough, because it is not true. The sad thing is your mind is as stubborn as a mule and will not easily believe this, so you MUST fight very hard to beat this cancer of the mind. Do not allow yourself to be defeated. Our mind is not always our best friend at all. 

Do not let thoughts entangle you from doing what you want to do. Believe you can and eventually, it will happen. 

Rejection can be very hurtful and once that gets to your mind it can be a killer. We believe in our faults and find faults that are not even present. It is like cutting into the wound of your arm and make it deeper and now may get infected. The recovery may be so much longer to heal now.

Do not ruminate over these thoughts, because they will bring on deep depression and can cause so much more physical illness. Distract yourself with positive thoughts just like you would take medication for the wound. Protect yourself from psychological wounds just like you would protect yourself from physical would. 

The power of feeling mentally well can make the biggest difference in your life. Do what is necessary to bring cleansing to your thoughts. It is as vital as breathing. Without it, you will slowly destroy yourself. They do not say this for nothing that the mind is a powerful thing. It absolutely is. Take care of your emotional well being like you would brush your teeth or take a shower to stay healthy.
