This is the day

Well you didn't wake up this morning 'cause you didn't go to bed
You were watching the whites of your eyes turn red
The calendar on your wall was ticking the days off
You've been reading some old letters
You smile and think how much you've changed
All the money in the world couldn't buy back those days

You pull back the curtain
And the sun burns into your eyes
You watch a plane flying
Across a clear blue sky
This is the day, your life will surely change
This is the day when things fall into place

You could have done anything if you wanted
And all your friends and family think that you're lucky
But the side of you they'll never see
Is when you're left alone with your memories
That hold your life together, like glue

The Witch Hunt

The spell has been made and the witch hunt is on. The more you ignore me, the closer I get, you're wasting your time, the more you ignore me, the closer I get, you're wasting your time. I will get you.

I am now

A central part
Of your mind's landscape
Whether you care
Or do not
Yeah, I've made up your mind

Don't rake up my mistakes
I know exactly what they are
And what do you do?
Well you just sit there
I've been stabbed in the back
So many many times
I don't have any skin
But that's just the way it goes
You'll never believe me, so
Why don't you find out for yourself?
Sick down to my heart
That's just the way it goes.

DJ Riker's REZZ Day and Comeback

After a one year break, we were so happy to have DJ Riker back at the Basement Club. It was also his 13th year in Second Life.

All his friends and new friends showed up to celebrate this great event in the beautiful and eerie Retreat Plaza.

Stop by and explore the place and take pictures. Here are some snapshots from the event.

It was great to see people dressed up in their costumes as well.

Come and join the Basement Club and listen in to our DJs. Always different, always unique.

what's a witch?

I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish, But if you wish the wish the witch wishes, I won't wish the wish you wish to wish.

First, “witch” is often used to mean “someone who practices some form of magic.” But “folk magic” is ubiquitous, and those who practice it usually consider themselves to be devout members of the faith community around them, just with a special gift. They very rarely seem to think that their magical practice constitutes a unique religion. Nevertheless, there are quite a few such “magical witches,” and they logically must be considered part of the Craft movement.
Second, “witch” is often used to mean “someone who has and uses unusual psychic talents.” It can thus be applied to Spiritualist mediums, to clairvoyant readers, to diviners, and so on. Again, such people almost always consider them to be members of the surrounding faith community, just with a special talent, and likewise, do not regard that talent as constituting a different religion.

Third, “witch” is now (and only recently) used to mean “someone who honors or worships the Old Gods” of whatever pantheon, though “Pagan” is also used with this meaning. Here the self-concept is that one is pursuing a religious path different from that of the surrounding community, but such pursuit does not necessarily involve any use of magic or psychic talents.

It's written on the skin

I wish that you were here
Down amongst the dust
I need someone to help me
You need someone to trust
There's something with these tears
Turning me to rust
I need someone to help me
Yeah I need someone to touch

I can feel the stars shooting through my heart like rain
Leaving on the scars where the pleasure turns to pain
Point me in a light
Bright and shiny in the right direction
And then take me home again

Just when you think it's over
Just when you think it's done
Out of every nowhere
You never see it come
I know the lines are showing
I can't keep them in
Like everybody's story
It's written on the skin
How far, how far, how far
How far d'you think we've walked?
How far d'you think we've come?

You put a spell on me

Hair, just like clothes, nails, bodily fluids, and other personal belongings, is strongly associated with the essence of its owner.

Oh no, I forgot the hair. Failed Magick Spell.
There are different ingredients you may need to cast a spell or two and no you do not need frog or toad legs or lizard eyes. Natural herbs, candles, and a good chant may just do the trick.

Hold still! I just need to pick some warts off you.
Let's say you have some bad luck and you want to command this away. Perhaps somebody put a little hex on you and now you need to reverse that spell. This is easy.

Make Bad Luck go away forever with this spell to banish and break all negative energy. Remove bad luck with salt, a candle, and a simple prayer or Wiccan chant. Ask me later about the chant.

Black or white magick? It is all the same, a spell is a spell. It is your intentions that make the difference. Just remember this: The Rule of Three (also Three-fold Law or Law of Return) states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times.

Pumpkinhead

Keep away from Pumpkinhead,
Unless you’re tired of living,
His enemies are mostly dead,
He’s mean and unforgiving,
Laugh at him and you’re undone,
But in some dreadful fashion,
Vengeance, he considers fun,
And plans it with a passion,
Time will not erase or blot,
A plot that he has brewing,
It’s when you think that he’s forgot,
He’ll conjure your undoing,
Bolted doors and windows barred,
Guard dogs prowling in the yard,
Won’t protect you in your bed,
Nothing will, from Pumpkinhead.
