How many owls can you find? Reward!!!

Some people who know me in real life, know that I love owls. Not sure why I do. They are mysterious creatures and so very smart. I once had an owls nest in my tree and three little barn owls were born...the cutest thing ever.

Here at the Retreat, you will find many owls...either in artwork or sitting owls. I have a challenge for you. Look around in every corner in the house and garden and see how many owls you can count. I will give a gift to the first 5 people who can tell me in an IM inworld.

Second Afterlife Cemetery

I stumbled upon this cemetery here in Second Life and spend a good hour looking at the graves.

The Second Afterlife Cemetery is a quiet, park-like setting with sounds of nature and soft music, which make it the perfect place to make a memorial for your loved ones from Real Life and Second Life.

Here is one note of the graves...I do this often in Real Life when I visit a grave that just speaks out to me I stand there for a moment.This one seemed to say hello to me.

If you are reading this, then it means that I am no more in Real life or Second Life.
I have left instructions with Nikky & Sarah for what I want to do here in Second Life, and how I want to be remembered.
I never married in real life, but back on 18th August 2009, I married my Love here in Second Life.
Jonn you have been in my heart since the day we meet at the bar. I love all the time we spent together and all the messages and emails we shared.
I still remember the day we married like it was yesterday, and not 6 years ago.
I still love you now, even though I have not seen you for a long time, but your voice is still with me.
My Darling Jonn, be happy in both Second Life and Real Life.
Kiss Poppy for me & go for a walk on the beach with her and watch the sunset and think of me.
Nikky, Vanessa & Rose. I love all 3 of you like we were sisters and I miss you all.
Be happy and remember me laughing!
I've asked Nikky to help Sarah (my sister in law) put together something to remember me here in Second Life when the time comes, as I was so happy here with you, my friends.

I was deeply saddened visiting this place, but also very grateful to the Second Life we have here. We have built a family of people, who do mean much more than their pixel creations to us.

Autumn has arrived at the Retreat and the trees have turned red, yellow and orange. The pumpkins are placed and the hunt is all set up.

Here is what is coming soon:

1. Galicia Art & Cultural Hall will host the talented Kylie Quinn with her exhibit called "Color your World". This is a must see, because the vibrant colors will inspire your senses.
We are also looking for artists to have their  art displayed free of charge, please contact us :)

2. Galicia's Spine-Chilling Halloween Hunt and Extravaganza will start October 20th at a location to be announced. It will be nothing but spooktacular. Come and dress in your favorite costume and then look for the pumpkins throughout the sim to get your treats. Watch out for the eerie surprises along the way. This event is free and open to all. Stay tuned for the BIG announcement.

3. The Full Monty, a brand-new Club run by Mags and her Crew will open soon at the back lot of the Retreat. Stop by and see it coming along. It is looking really nice. 
Mags will have some of the top DJs in SL who will play the tunes you love.

Copperfield Estate and Winery

One of the amazing things in second life is that you meet some very great people here. We were so thrilled to have been invited to a private Garden Party at the lovely Copperfield Estate and Winery. This breathtaking estate is owned and operated by 

Norivne Copperfield and his wonderful wife Linnette...perhaps you can go and get a viewing of the vineyards.

It was such an elegant but relaxing affair. Thanks for having us!!!
