SHUT UP AND BE GRATEFUL

Coronavirus is a worldwide pandemic. It’s bound to get very emotional reactions from people who are scared. That’s normal. People have different ways of reacting to the news and some are very prone to emotional outbursts.
There are, however, a certain group of people who engage in behaviors that are irresponsible, like to spread misinformation, and basically make everything worse for themselves and everyone around them.
There is a new trending word for them now; it’s Covidiot. I mean how much toilet paper do you need? And what about those people who are still out there exposing not only themselves but risking others?
Let's pause yourselves for this time. Nothing is as normal but that does not mean it won't return. I am sure it will. In the meantime, relax and work on a new habit. What does it mean to be grateful? Thankfully, it doesn’t mean convincing yourself of some bogus notion that everything’s fine and dandy. Living your life with gratitude means choosing to focus your time and attention on what you appreciate. The goal is not to block out difficulties, but to approach those difficulties from a different perspective. Appreciation softens us. It soothes our turbulent minds by connecting us with the wonderfully ordinary things, great and small, that we might otherwise take for granted.
I know how hard this can be because I forget very often what positives I have in my life. It is easy to see the bad and negative. So, this may be the time to look into yourself and find the positive. Do not let fear and anxiety steal your health...let it go and release all of it today.

You’ve been blessed. Even if you rarely realize it. All of us here have.
