Go Navy!!!

Sailing in Second Life is one of the most popular things to do. It is very realistic down to the waves and the wind. I find solitude and peace many times when I go out sailing.

Of course it is always fun to take someone along the way and show them the places you have seen. You can go for hours and hours and explore. I do come back to this one spot in the Blake Sea which is called Sirens Isle. It is truly a special place to visit and sponsored by Linden Labs itself. You will always run into somebody, even mermaids on occasions.

Yes, I do have a purple boat with pink interior. It keeps the pirates away, LOL!

Boat Obsession gone Bad!

I truly believe that Zeek was bitten by some bug and he is now obsessed with boats...mostly sailing.

So we live out at Second Norway which is a beautiful area for sailing and with the biggest airport in Second Life, you could say you have it all.

Zeek was testing out a  speed boat at Dutch Harbor when he foolishly went out of control and yes...he ran into the dock over some very expensive boats.

All he says, let's get out of here babe. We run and flee back into the boat he just bought and think we have a great drive back home to Second Norway. However, some things change and all of a sudden we are being chased by a jet with weapons.

I told him, it is because of the damage left behind, they are after you now. This jet kept following us in the Blake Sea and all the way home.

Titanic

A century has sailed by since the luxury steamship RMS Titanic met its catastrophic end in the North Atlantic, plunging two miles to the ocean floor after sideswiping an iceberg during its maiden voyage. Rather than the intended Port of New York, a deep-sea grave became the pride of the White Star Line’s final destination in the early hours of April 15, 1912. More than 1,500 people lost their lives in the disaster. In the decades since her demise, Titanic has inspired countless books and several notable films while continuing to make headlines, particularly since the 1985 discovery of her resting place off the coast of Newfoundland.

Even here in Second Life will you find this beloved ship. I just recently discovered this sim with a replica of the sinking ship. I think it is still a work in progress but what i saw so far was really nice.

This is not the famous "dancing" Titanic you may already know, this is a new place and does not offer any dancing, but a realistic replica of the sinking ship.

The grand staircase has many details.
Come and visit the RMS TITANIC today before it sinks and will be gone forever.

Sea of Fables to Ice Bay

At the Sea of Fables start at the docks on the Poseidon Island, where you can rez your boat and set sail for adventure on the Sea of Fables. On your journey, you'll encounter small towns, ancient ruins and lots of underwater scenery.

It is a really nice place to sail, quiet and peaceful and less crowded than the Blake Sea.

I will go back here and explore a little more and do some diving here.

Lakeside

Lakeside offers peace, tranquility, a lovely little piece of nature and a place to explore and to hang out for singles, couples and friends. Come relax, chat or simply enjoy the surroundings. Find some peace in this fast and hectic world.

My Mom said she learned how to swim when someone took her out in the lake and threw her off the boat. I said, 'Mom, they weren't trying to teach you how to swim.'

It was lovely to ride around the lake at Lakeside...if you have not been here yet you should really stop by and breathe in the tranquility of this place. You can also take the horse tour...

Take time for a little romance here too.
Thanks Robstar for making this a fun-filled day :)

Underwater Rescue!!!

About two nautical miles under the blue ocean floor I came across him once again. This time it looked like he needed help. I always wondered about what was up with him standing on an island for hours day and night. Maybe he thought he was a Lighthouse to warn the so many ships who come and take a break here.

But this time he was in deep water surrounded by fish. He did tell me once that he lived in a pineapple like "Sponge-bob", however I do believe when you are that far down you may lose some of your mind for a short period of time. Do they have pineapples under the sea?

I need to remember when I go sailing to pack up diving gear. All I had was an air tank and a mask and lucky for Mr. Sponge Bob, a snorkel. So, of course I jumped in, took his hand and pulled him up to the surface. You won't believe how heavy a man is, even under water. I think his combat boots are ruined, so hopefully he has enough Lindens to get some new ones. I suggest stay out of the water with leather boots.

Happy Sailing !!! I am sure I will see him on the same spot, same time again. I will be better prepared this time.

A sailboat named "Anjelikka"

There is an old tradition to name a ship after a woman. What an honor to have a sailboat named after me.

"Life's roughest storms prove the strength of our anchors."

Our voyage has just begun, yet in one month I have done more than I have in three years. You learn so much when you are out in the open waters. I hope we get to share this sweet ride with some of our friends.

If you like to come with us for a ride, just IM us inworld....we love to show you the open sea.

DARKWOOD

Darkwood is another beautiful sim crafted by Tenk and Truck Meredith, who are the owners of Calas Caladhon Park.
It is a on foot experience and you should bring a friend.
Some parts of the deep woods are scary :)

I was desperately waiting for someone to come along with me, but had no luck. I just followed some residents, hopefully they didn't think I was stalking them.

I recommend taking some time to go on the cuddle boat ride and the barrel ride. Those provide a total overview of the sim inside and out.

So hold on to the one you love...or just love the one you're with.

Leaving on a Jet-plane....

I think this airport was really cool...one of the best air crafts I have seen that looked so real. I was so ready to leave on the jet-plane and fly away somewhere.

Miami International Airport
Hope you go check it out.

I then traveled on and visited the SS Galaxy, a giant cruise ship spread out over three sims. WOW. this is huge.

SS Galaxy

All I was doing is taking some pics of me flying a kite on board, when all of a sudden a robot said hello.

Sometimes a robot has more human features than well a human, lol.
