Ladies night out...means what???

I had to research that a little because to me ladies night out means it is a night out with no men. What kind of fun would that be?

I found a variety of different definitions on the subject. The urban dictionary is very blunt and describes it like this: A planned occasion at night which involves skanky ladies that would do just about anything to see some serious desperate meat compete for their stanky ???. 

It's ladies night out so no meat allowed. It'll be a taco party,..minus the sour cream of course. 

A planned event, usually held at a cheesy Irish pub or dance club, where groups of females dress provocatively, flirt incessantly, dance badly, and accept free drinks from desperate single men. The event usually ends when one female passes out in her own vomit or when one of their boyfriends shows up.

In reality this is not true...you don't have to go anywhere on ladies night and can just stay home and party there with your girlfriends. It is an opportunity to bitch about work, men and other women.

I remember the days as a teenager in Germany and we called it a fun afternoon. We got all our favorite junk food and sodas and sat in my room and gossiped about everybody and everything. We played our favorite tunes, tried out new dance moves and best of all laughed, laughed and laughed.

That is what it is all about to have some fun from the daily serious life of work and the stress that comes with it.
